Like I Was Saying...
What if I were to treat my blog like I’d treat Facebook for a year?
A couple of years ago, I stopped posting political stuff on Facebook. Two main reasons: it wasn’t like I was adding value to most of the conversations online.
And two (this was the biggie), the things people posted pissed me off, from religion to politics to conspiracy theories.
Don’t get me wrong; I still enjoy that part of Facebook where people post what’s happening in their lives. It keeps me up to date with friends and family.
But one thing I do miss is fleshing out my thoughts on things. Either it’s religion or politics or just the news of the day.
I need an outlet.
I’m a big fan of Eric Kim’s blog. He started as a street photographer and has become a sort of “online philosopher.” You either like him or hate him. The thing is, he’s got tons of posts.
Another guy I follow, Matthew Dicks, author of Storyworthy, also keeps a daily blog. Granted, the guy hates me because of my politics (join the club), but I also frequent his blog.
I’ve always wanted to keep an online blog. I’ve had several.
So I want to try it again, but this time, I’m going to treat this blog like I’d treated Facebook and see what kind of results that yields.
