Like I Was Saying...
Why blog?
I’m a big fan of street photographer Eric Kim.
Sure, he’s a little kooky, and a lot of his pictures aren’t that great (I’m a big fan of his earlier work), but I love his blogging acumen.
The guy can write a blog. What I like about Eric Kim’s blog is that it’s a running thought process in terms of life and creativity.
That’s what I always wanted this blog to be. A place I could show my work, tell the world what I’m working on (as if it was necessary), and as a journal.
I was thinking about it last night.
My life these days is pretty much dogs, family, work, and if I’m honest social media. In that order.
I miss writing.
I miss taking pictures.
I miss writing movies.
I miss writing jokes.
I don’t want to complain about what I’m doing now. I enjoy much of what I’m doing; helping Marcos with Rugby, being on the recruitment and marketing team, and board for Rock Rugby. The little I do with SWYM.
But there’s got to be more, and for me, it all comes down to self-discipline when it comes to my time and creativity.
I spent the last year getting all these damn tools to be more creative, and now I need to take the time to use them.
I’ll see how this hard reset goes.
